Network attacks by Cain & Abel
Smékal, Lukáš ; Stančík, Peter (referee) ; Sobotka, Jiří (advisor)
This Master’s thesis is dealt in the local area network security, cryptographic algorithms, particular attacks on computer networks a practical application these attacks in local area networks. To application particular attacks is used the Cain & Abel program. The detailed manual for this program is created from the results of these attacks. This manual contains the exhibits of usage particular program tools and the attack application exhibits. This manual considers consequences of particular attacks and summarises achieved results during work with tools too. Master thesis closely deals with one of the program tools called RSA SecureID Token Calculator. Authentication via hardware tokens is contained in this Master thesis. Thesis contains the way of authentication using RSA SecureID Token Calculator without physical owning of the hardware token. Cain & Abel program shows and interprets why cashed passwords in operation system are dangerous and it shows methods how attacker can reveal this passwords from the operation system memory. This Master thesis is focused on sniffing credentials and passwords in local area networks and it is focused on cryptographic algorithms cracking for username and passwords revealing.
Network Protocol Analyzer
Takács, Tamás ; Žádník, Martin (referee) ; Tobola, Jiří (advisor)
Bachelor's thesis describes an implementation of a network analyzer with an easy graphical web interface. Network Analyzer captures network communication and allows the detailed analysis. Its main task is to monitor data flows and identify protocols, which are situated on application-layer model TCP / IP. Thesis describes two types of possible identification of application protocols, which are based on the port number and the payload content TCP packet / UDP datagram. Web interface provides an overview of the output values of the network analyzer.
CAN sniffer
Skalický, Jakub ; Jílek, Tomáš (referee) ; Burian, František (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with creating CAN Bus sniffer witch sending data to PC by Ethernet. The main parts of developed PCB are microcontroller SMT32F407VGT6 by STMicroelectronics and Ethernet PHY KSZ8051MLL. In theoretical part you can find ARM and STM32F407VGTE information followed by Ethernet and UDP protocol introduction. The end of theoretical part is about CAN bus. Practical part is about design of board, developing it and measuring parameters of board. The end part of this thesis describes changes of software. Firstly there are described changes of firmware for add support of CanShark board. Followed is described adding of new functionality of canshark-gui PC application.
Sniffer for power lines communication
Zapletal, Radek ; Šťastný, Ladislav (referee) ; Franek, Lešek (advisor)
This work deals with the design and development of universal software packet analyzer for capturing, analysis and filtering Power-line communication (PLC). The input data are provided by hardware packet analyzer over RS-232 interface. The application will find use in the area of Smart Grids and Smart Metering. This work describes both of these areas including sniffers and suggests several possible solutions with a selection of the best one and description of the development process.
LoRaWAN Traffic Analysis via SDR
Jál, Michal ; Hanáček, Petr (referee) ; Hujňák, Ondřej (advisor)
This id about implementing LoRaWAN sniffer using software-defined radio LimeSDR. And analyzing LoRaWAN communication with this device. Part of the work is a description of LoRa modulation and introduction of the LoRaWAN network layer.
Univerzálny sniffer a prekladač paketov protokolov na získavanie informácií o susediacich zariadeniach
Pálinkás, Adam
This bachelor thesis is dealing with creating a software capable of capturing different kinds of L2 protocols used for getting information about neighbouring devices developed by different vendors. In the first part, analysis of works solving similar topics and a theoretical description of each protocol. Next, the implementation of the software is described as well as the methodology of tests and results. The software was created in the programming language Java using the Pcap4J library to capture and send packets.
Industrial Network Security Module
Kuchař, Karel ; Holasová, Eva
This article is focused on a fast and efficient evaluation method of communication of theModbus/TCP protocol. Modbus/TCP does not implement authentication or communication encryption. Therefore, a Modbus Security module was created, which allows sniffing specific network trafficand parsing particular information from the packets. This information is stored in the database usingPostgreSQL on each master and slave station. It evaluates whether there is an attack on the networkby comparing information in individual databases. There is an additional authentication of individualstations using the created SSH connection between databases. Everything is visualised using theGrafana tool.
